Why does the machine tool experience tool shaking during use

发布时间: 2024-01-06

There are several reasons for this:

        1. Firstly, the tool extends too long, resulting in a decrease in tool stiffness, and the deflection deformation cannot be ignored.

        2. The tool is not completely fixed, which also leads to insufficient tool stiffness.

        3. The tool height is not aligned, and the tool tip height is lower than the center axis height, resulting in excessive force on the tool and easy resonance during circumferential machining.

        4. The unreasonable setting of parameters such as tool feed and spindle speed leads to resonance during circular motion.

Suggest checking each of the above centers one by one.

The fundamental reason for lathe tool vibration is:

that the bending deformation of the tool causes a decrease in stiffness, resulting in a decrease in the vibration frequency of the tool. When this vibration frequency drops around the frequency corresponding to the spindle speed, that is, entering the field where resonance frequency occurs, the tool will resonate.

The vibration source that causes resonance is the circular motion of the lathe spindle, specifically the spindle speed. Of course, the smaller the force on the tool, the narrower the frequency range at which resonance occurs. The harder it is to resonate.

Methods to avoid shaking the knife:

        1. Increase the rigidity of the cutting tools and try to choose high-quality ones.

        2. Adjust the spindle speed.

        3. Reduce the force on the tool.
